My name is Olga Kovalev. I am an original Ukrainian artist, based in Los Angeles, California.

 I am the kind of artist who loves to explore and experiment with different art styles, techniques and materials; I teach art to kids and find a great pleasure in it.  My own style has been changing and evolving over time, which you can view on Portfolio page. Some of them are 20+ years old. But I am still in search for ways to express myself in my own unique way.  There is something constant, though. When I begin to draw, I get lost in myself. Each and every idea for my artworks comes from somewhere deep inside my soul. There are also times when I get a clear vision of a finished canvas in front of me, and it feels like something magical is happening and I become a part of this miracle. To be in a process of painting for me is deep and intense work inside, not only technical visualization.

  My favorite philosophical quote is: “LIFE IS A GREAT RIDDLE AND YOU WILL NEVER FIND OUT THE TRUTH, BUT YOU SHOULD TRY TO DO IT ANYWAY!”
